I am proud to announce that I will be participating in RED January 2020.
What is RED January?
RED January is a challenge that is set to help raise money for MIND UK and to help promote the positive effects that exercise has on mental health. It empowers people to start the new year in a positive way. The participant can do any form of activity such as swim, run or walk for 31 days. This challenge has raised nearly £1.7 million and we can help to raise more money and more awareness of mental health issues.
Why would I want to participate?
I was inspired to participate in RED January, after doing the challenge in the first year. Another reason was, after seeing how exercise has helped me, cope with my depression and anxiety. I would like to set 2020 off to an amazing and positive start.
What is involved in RED January?
RED January requires the participants to do any kind of exercise for 31 days. This can be a personal challenge, for example, run/walk/swim 50 miles in the 31 days. The challenges will start on 1st January and end on 31st January 2020.
What will I be challenging myself to do?
I will be challenging myself to stick to a 31-day workout schedule, which will include attending fitness classes, running and gym workouts. There will be a workout schedule posted soon.
Whilst doing this challenge, I will be raising money for Mind charity. If you would like to donate click here. All donations will be given to the charity.
