If you read my last posts (New Personal Challenge and C25k review), you would have read that I am training to do a half marathon next year. My goal is to run 10k, I would like to hit this goal by the beginning of January. I am using a training app, 10k.
Today, was the first day of my training. I was difficult and amazing at the time. Weird, I know. I discovered during this run, that I had be running wrong. I was always running with a long stride and I should have been running shorter stride.
Over the summer, I found it difficult to run continuously. But, I managed to beat each run. I managed to run 5k in 42 minutes. I However, today, I wanted to be able to run continuously. So, I tried out a different technique. I shortened my stride whilst running. It took longer to run 5k, I did it in 45 minutes. However, I felt that my running technique was better than it was.

I am currently on Week 9 of the 10k app. During this week, I should be running for 10 minutes and walking for 1 minute, four times. The workout lasts about 54 minutes. I managed to run for the majority of the 10 times, however, a few times I had to stop due to the puddles of the pathway I was on. In the end, I run a good 6k in the 54 minutes of the workout. I don’t feel like giving up halfway through the workout.
My goal now is to be able to run for the whole 10 minutes. I try and get 6k in least for 50 minutes.
